Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
The short version. We don’t track you. Browsing Save My Seet sets no cookies at all. The only cookie we use is set after you log in, to keep you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (“local storage”) is a similar feature. Both can be used to remember things between visits — such as the fact that you’re logged in.
2. Everything we store in your browser
This is the complete list. There is nothing else.
| Name | Type | What it does | When it’s set | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sb-<project>-auth-token | Cookie | Keeps you signed in. Without it you would be logged out on every page. It may be split into numbered parts (…auth-token.0, .1) when large. | Only after you log in | Up to 400 days, or until you sign out |
sms-theme | Browser storage | Remembers that you switched the site to light mode. It stores the single word “light”. | Only if you use the light/dark toggle | Until you clear your browser storage |
sms-cookie-notice | Browser storage | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it isn’t shown again. | Only if you dismiss the notice | Until you clear your browser storage |
3. Why we don’t ask you to “accept cookies”
Many websites show a banner asking you to accept cookies because they use cookies to trackyou — for analytics, advertising or social media. That tracking needs your permission first.
We don’t do any of that. Our login cookie is strictly necessary: it exists only to give you the service you asked for when you logged in, and the site can’t keep you signed in without it. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), processing that is necessary to provide a service you requested doesn’t require separate consent. The two browser-storage items above hold no personal information at all.
Asking you to “accept” or “reject” would suggest a choice that doesn’t really exist, so instead we tell you plainly what we use. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your permission beforesetting them, and you’ll be able to say no.
4. Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the login cookie, you’ll still be able to browse shops and make a guest booking, but you won’t be able to stay logged in. Signing out removes the login cookie.
5. Third-party cookies
We don’t load any third-party scripts that set cookies. Our fonts are served from our own website rather than from Google. If you tap a “Get directions” link, Google Maps opens on its own site, and Google’s own cookie policy applies there.
